When a person decides to do a rent to own and has an option to purchase their property there are declaring that they want to be a homeowner.

All of you are here today because you want to make your home yours in the way it looks and feels and improve your credit so that you can have a bonifide mortgage in your name and own it outright.  This class is going to outline the accountability that a person or family requires to become home owners and be successful. From taking care of the property to taking care of your finances. It is all needed to be a homeowner that can be proud of their asset or home and comfortable with their financial commitment

Accountability-

In our program there are a few basic musts:

1.      Take care of the property- keep it clean and not run down

2.      Pay your monthly rent payments on time- the best way is through automatic payments that are easy for you .

3.      Improve your credit- come to the classes monthly and make routine appointments with your finance specialists (ideally every 30-45 days to work on your credit report )

4.      Get along with the neighbors- every home comes with neighbors and if you can’t get along with folks it is difficult to be a homeowner in a community. It also allows you to have a friend to assist you, give you ideas and push one another to take good care of your home.

5.      Make it your home and stay forever. Our goal is that you love your home and it is somewhere you could live forever.

You are also required to maintain the yard and that includes sprinklers, gutters, trees and landscaping.
